Dottie Richard, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has served in the design industry for more than 30 years, specializing in lighting and innovative attitudes to residential and commercial spaces. Her design capabilities include renovations, updates, and designs conceived from blueprints for new construction. Her vast experience with light and color brings to life exceptional, exciting interiors. 

Prior to her collaboration with Richard-Renfro, Dottie parlayed a small start-up lighting business to a national and international concern. As owner/president, she has managed the retail, interior decorating, and design studio. The studio produced its own line of lamps and chandeliers that have been featured nationally. During that time, Dottie traveled extensively thought-out Europe developing a sophisticated and timeless style, returning to the US with the “best-of-the-best”! 

Dottie collaborates closely with her clients to meld décor with their lifestyles and personalities. She expertly blends the clients’ collection with a mixture of new and antique furniture and accessories, creating a timeless space that feels comfortable and collected. She has maintained industry resources and relationships that contribute to one-of-a-kind interiors that are innovative and cost-effective.

Caroline was born and raised in South Louisiana. Throughout her life she has developed a love for architect and design of all periods and styles. With a Bachelors in Interior Design from Louisiana State University, Caroline specialized in kitchen and bath design after graduation. Following that three year period, she focused on lighting design in which she imported antique lighting to be restored and used in modern day applications. In addition to importing, Caroline also designed and manufactured original lighting designs to be used on local projects as well as shipped all over the country.

Having specialized in these two areas for the past ten years post graduation, Caroline was ready to take on full projects from architectural plans to furnishing and finished product. While her style remains clean and classic, Caroline takes pride in the fact that her goal for each project is to portray the client’s style and personality.
